1979 marine trader. Does any have for sale the hydraulic pump that connects to the auto pilot? Or how to bypass the auto pilot? There are 3 hydraulic lines left, right and a return line that goes to the fly bridge.

Brand name of the AP system would be helpful.

Any autopilot pump will work as long as you match the capacity and voltage.

To bypass, disconnect and cap lines going to the pump. Bleed steering system and your are good to go.

I have ball valves at the AP pump to isolate it in case it has issues.

.
To by pass do I capp the return line too?
Also
My pump connects to a clutch that also connects to the electrical Cetec benmar system. Iam not sure if any pump has the same clutch type?

What size boat? I have a Garmin 1.0 liter pump that is essentially new (it was installed and I determined I needed to upsize, so it was removed after sea trial).

That may be too small for your boat. But I'm happy to get rid of it at a very good price if it fits. PM me if you need info.

Thank you for your offer. I think I will by pass the auto pilot until I can find the right match

OK, no worries. But I'm confused - what match are you looking for?
