Just joined this forum as we're contemplating changing boats. While we live in the SF Bay Area we keep a boat in Seattle to cruise the San Juan and Gulf islands. Its the same 40' wood power cruiser that I grew up on, but as we get older we're looking for something a bit 'easier', so it's helpful to hear different experiences. While I love the character of our old boat, more and more I'll trade off the character for some modern benefits.

Welcome!
She’s a beauty. And I’m sure if you decide it’s time, your next boat will be too.
Change is good.

I love your wooden boat! Welcome.

Yes... well built FRP boats usually can be up to 10X easier [often many X less costly too] for dealing with than wood boats. Especially when you live away from where your boat is docked.

I came to appreciate Tollycraft boat construction, last ability, layouts, interior comforts, sea kindly hull design... etc. Where you dock there are usually plenty of Tolly's available on the market. :thumb:

Best luck finding, buying and selling! :speed boat:
