Greetings from CA

Just joined this forum as we're contemplating changing boats. While we live in the SF Bay Area we keep a boat in Seattle to cruise the San Juan and Gulf islands. Its the same 40' wood power cruiser that I grew up on, but as we get older we're looking for something a bit 'easier', so it's helpful to hear different experiences. While I love the character of our old boat, more and more I'll trade off the character for some modern benefits.

She’s a beauty. And I’m sure if you decide it’s time, your next boat will be too.
Change is good.

I love your wooden boat! Welcome.

Yes... well built FRP boats usually can be up to 10X easier [often many X less costly too] for dealing with than wood boats. Especially when you live away from where your boat is docked.

I came to appreciate Tollycraft boat construction, last ability, layouts, interior comforts, sea kindly hull design... etc. Where you dock there are usually plenty of Tolly's available on the market.

Best luck finding, buying and selling!
