Hi

I am considering ordering a Simrad HS75 Gnss GPS antenna. Simrad info about mounting

A Minimum horizontal spacing: 2 m (6.5 ft). There is no possibility to position the GPS antenna 6.5 foot below the VHF and I assume radar could dammage the GPS antenna at longer range settings.

This says nothing about radar. I use my radar a lot. It is seldom I transmit on VHF.

The intent would be to mount on the port side of the arch. The antenna on the port side does not transmit.

Top of boat.

Ideas?

Thanks,

Make sure that the antenna is not obstructed by obstacles, so that it has an unobstructed view upwards at an angle of approximately 45 degrees.
I have the same antenna, it's a very accurate device.
