I’m modernizing a late 80’s Nordic Tug that cruises in the inside waters of BC. The boat came to me with a Cybernet Depth Finder that works most of the time but does not provide me with the level of confidence that I need. So I’m looking for suggestions on a new system. I’ll probably leave the old one in place as a back up. I’m thinking that a system with a through hull transducer would be best as I don’t need another hold in this boat. I’ve also been learning about the current NMEA 2000 platform that seems to simplify set up and operation.
What are your suggestions for a system that; has a 9” or so monitor, displays depth through a through hull transducer, is compatible with Navionics (I currently use Navionics on IPad), does not need to have speed capability, and probably a number of things that I haven’t thought of yet.
Thanks in advance.
