I have three boat trips planned for this summer between Chicago and Canada. The first is on a 35' sailboat that's going to Port Elgin ON.
I've just come to realize that there are only two open ports of entry on Lake Huron due to COVID restrictions - Sarnia and Sault Ste Marie. Neither is remotely convenient for the trip to Port Elgin.
Does anyone have any insight or advice on this? I guess I'm wondering whether Canadian authorities are likely to reopen some of the smaller ports of entry this summer. The only advice I've received has been to check their web site regularly.
