I was looking too save a few bucks on a electric conversion pump
Original owner of boat installed a electric conversion pump replacing manual
Recently motor burned out .
Hitting Amazon / Ebay Pricing was all over the map from $ 325 upwards too $ 500 for same exact model
On ebay found same exact conversion pump
Seller disclosed , Used , BUT WAS NEVER INSTALLED .
Disclaimer from seller, purchased from a marine surplus store item was returned , No knowledge why it was returned but was never installed ?
NO RETURNS
Got a great deal $ 150.00 including toilet
Installed only the pump worked OK but after a short while motor is weak . Removed conversion pump checking impellers Jocker , gaskets everything seems OK , impellers spin
Putting on a bench , water coming thru so its not running dry, metal blade turns but after few seconds slows and eventually stops.
Motor does not feel hot .
RE installed so if necessary toilet was useable
.
Ceiling lights in bathroom flicker when motor stops which tells me bad MOTOR
I have in my town Electric motor rebuilders , generally larger motors .
Has anybody done this . Are they rebuildable ??
head is used only when its a must , and considering going back too a manual hand pump .
ANY THOUGHTS< IDEAS
