I need to locate a set screw like the one pictured. Any help would be appreciated. Happy New Year to all.

Some size perspective would be helpful. Maybe a picture on top of a tape measure or ruler. Also, if it takes an Allen wrench (hex drive), what size, metric or standard.

I have good luck looking through the parts drawers in Ace or True Value hardware stores. They have a wide selection of set screws.

What does it go to?

Think they are called "Full Dog Set Screws" on a Google search.........:thumb:

It's called "extended tip set screw" or "dog point set screw".
McMaster-Carr has them among other similar suppliers I'm sure.

Thanks all! I’ll check it out.

You can find anything on Google if you just know what it’s called. If you don’t know what it’s called you will need lots of luck or trawler forum.

I’m more curious as to what it’s for

McMaster has them in 316 SS

It’s for the door handle on a pilot house door.

There is always something new to learn about.
