South Georgia Strait Buoys off line

I'm doing some planning for later on this summer that involves transiting the south end of the Georgia Strait. There are 3 buoys there that provide good information regarding current conditions. Currently all 3 buoys are not reporting conditions and two of them have been off line for several weeks. Any idea what is going on with them?

Also, folks that transit that area what do you use for wave height?
