Pulling the Trigger

Found the potential boat, ready to pull the trigger, but need some help.

1) Looking for marine surveyor recommendations for the Wilmington,NC relative vicinity (< 150 miles) Looking for the tough, "just the facts", "rip the bandaid off" type willing to talk me out of buying the boat.

2) Looking for their partner in crime. Detroit Diesel engine surveyor in the same general geography.

All comments, crude remarks and cautions accepted.

Who is your insurance company? You want to make sure that they will accept the survey once it is done. So whoever you pick as surveyor make sure the insurance company will accept the survey. Most likely if the surveyor is accredited then they will, but doesn’t hurt to verify.
