Power cats in 18..!

I had started a thread a while back about power cats in 1962. I thought that was amazing but when I was at the ship model museum at the Naval Academy I was stunned to see that they go back a bit farther. How about 1812

This was my first ship. USS Pigeon ASR-21. Deep submerge diving platform/submarine rescue ship. Rode like a cork!
