Will be interested to see what you find for fuel price in Turtle. I’m thinking Asunción for fuel , guy brings it out, charges $1.00 per gallon. I think you can ride with him to Pemex and pay on card if you want. Let me know if you want his number.
I think we’re looking at departing next Sunday, week from tomorrow.

I paid 38 pesos a liter here in Turtle Bay.
The panga that delivered it looked very professional. The tank was fiberglass and built into the panga. The pump looked professional as well. Very nice looking setup.
I took on 646 liters to fill my tanks
Had some admittedly pricy tacos at enriqui's resturant, but the food was excellent, as was the service. Beaching the skiff was a piece of cake next to the warf.

That is around $2/gallon over what you will pay when you get to the inside.

Thanks for that. Looks like pretty good economy, almost 2 miles per gallon.

Heading down the Baja Coast!
A good friend and former neighbour goes down to San Jose del Cabo every year. Knows a fair bit about fishing down there. He’s worth linking up with. He’s also a former machinist who has helpers me out with technical things.

Today we left Turtle Bay and are heading for Bahia Asuncion. Total today will be around 55 NM
The seas are pretty good with a offshore breeze. Our friend Doug is several miles outside chasing Tuna.
Our lines are out and we will see what's for dinner.
Another nice day in Mexico.

Kevin..Really appreciate the updates on the fuel in TB. We always stop there for some fuel and as you said, it is what it is. We will be departing San Diego in about 2 weeks and hope we get the weather windows you are having. We've made quite a number of trips down over the past 8 years. We liked the anchorage in Asuncion and San Juanico as well. We always stop for a rest farther down in Santa Maria too. I assume your Starlink Dishy is working well the whole way based on your ability to send emails and pictures. That's great news since we just installed ours. The only way we were ever able to get wifi in TB was to walk up to Restaurante Tortuga about a half a click up the road. Owner Alicia is a sweetheart. Anyway, travel safe and we may cross paths in the next few months. Ross and Juli Macdonald MV Boppy's Star

Tonight we are anchor'd in Bahia Asuncion
It's kinda sad that the surf is too high for any of the cruisers to make it to shore today. The seas were really nice for this 54 mile run. Very pleasant cruising, and the anchorage is very reasonable as well.
Tomorrow we are pressing on

We are continuing our journey to Punta Abreojos today.
There is a offshore breeze maybe 10 knots, and the seas are very nice!
This is a short day, at 45 NM, and we hope to do some beach combing this afternoon.
Another happy day in Mexico!

This morning we are at Bahia Santa Maria where we intend to anchor for several days while exploring.
The seas are perfect, the water is warm, and the fishing is fantastic!!!

Kevin, do you barter/trade for the lobster or buy? I heard once that baseball caps and beer go a long way!

This morning we woke up to another perfect day in Mexico!
The temperature was 65 at sunrist, the skys are clear, and the water temperature is 76.
With our great friend Doug aboard his 30 Willard we decided to go to Magdelina Bay a trip of around 20 miles. We decided to leave the beautiful anchorage at Santa Maria because the surf is just too high to make a beach landing, and we really want to spend some time ashore and explore the mangrove estuary.
Happy Thanksgiving!!!!!

Good morning from Bahia Magdalena Baja California sur!
Today is shaping up to be another fantastic day! Warm, sunny, and hopefully light winds.
The anchorage here in Man O War Cove is nice, but it offers little protection from the daily north wind that gets up to between 15 and 20 knots. That makes the anchorage a bit rolly when the wind comes up in the late afternoons.
Yesterday We went for a walk on the beach and found some clams. We cannot keep them because nobody on the boat is a Mexican citizen, but it was fun searching for them.
