Fort Myers FL, July 4th

Is there a good overnight anchorage in Fort Myers to watch fireworks? Thanks.

Fort Myers and Fort Myers Beach are 20 miles apart. Which one?
If its Fort Myers you can anchor just across the OWW channel across from CFMYB. Plenty of room there.

I live south of the City of Fort Myers. Since none of the towns around here are having displays, I might consider staying at a Fort Myers Beach marina and anchoring in the Gulf, weather permitting, the afternoon of July 4. That way, I would likely be able to catch all the small private displays that will undoubtedly be viewable form the water.

Rumor has it that North Fort Myers or Port Charlotte or one of the towns North of Fort Myers will have a display. Check Google, it may be that an anchorage in Charlotte Harbor is what you are looking for.

Englewood fireworks are off (Lemon Bay Sunrise Rotary from Middle Beach). I think North Port is having them but not sure where they shoot them off from.

On edit: Looks like they are shooting them from North Port High School so you can go up the Myakka River and get pretty close.

Punta Gorda cancelled fireworks for this year.

Fair enough

https://www.news-press.com/story/new...ks/5231609002/

Fort Myers will look to the sky July Fourth, but not for fireworks.

Instead, they will enjoy the Aeroshell Aerobatic Team flying over the City of Fort Myers in their World War II aircrafts in wake of the COVID-19 pandemic, the River District Alliance Board of Directors announced.

The flyover will replace the annual Freedom Fest in downtown Fort Myers on July 4, that has featured fireworks, children's activities, food, vendors and live music.

You're here, so I know you have the internet. Is anyone trying to look this stuff up?
