How does it look if you skirt the shore line?
Now, if you combine with an app that shows wave height.... might be time to remain in port for 3 or 4 days. Take awhile for the wave to calm down. I am thinking at least 3 days if the weather doesnt continue you go "south"

Wifey B: Right now, Thursday looks like the start of some nice seas. Of course will likely change between now and then.
We talk about being prepared to stay if conditions warrant. Well, sometimes there's being prepared to go that's important. We've had many times that our initial plans were to spend another day where we were but we saw such a nice opening that wasn't going to be but a day or two and left early to take advantage.

Tomorrow is definitely out of the question. We are going to travel to Clearwater tomorrow and hang out.
Thursday looks the best. Keeping an eye on Tuesday mid morning on.

Yep...we are kicking ourselves for not having gone to Clearwater yesterday. Today would have been good. But we are having a lot of fun seeing places we’ve never been and who knows when we’ll get the chance again.

It is amazing how much information one can get on the iPhone or iPad if you are within range of a cell tower.
30 years ago folks would have said, "no possible". Even the weather forecaster would have doubted the accuracy of their own forecast 2 days out.
40 years ago, computers were big as a house.

Two Senoritas Mexican restaurant in downtown Sarasota is excellent. Very short walk down main from Marina Jack.
Whole Foods is just a bit farther if you need a sushi fix.

The boat had a bath and so did I! We are now about to head out and go for a walk and explore.

We live in Houma, but our boat lives at Longboat Key Moorings, across the bay from Marina Jack. Many great restaurants within walking distance of Marina Jack. Mozaic and Bijou are two of our favorites. Tell Rock at the marina piano bar hello from us! Hope your weather window opens. If not try to see St. Pete, another great stop. The city marina and the Vinoy marina are within walking distance of town, which offers lots of things to do. We arrive Wednesday night, but it looks as if you will have headed north. Bon voyage!

Revised plan...I think we’re on plan J or K by now....lol
Since we have time to kill waiting on weather to cross the gulf, we’ve decided to just go on to Tarpon Springs instead of stopping in Clearwater. It sounds like tarpon Springs has more to see in the area? We are hoping to not leave this morning until the bulk of this weather passes through.
Hey LarryM, did you and Lena hear the bagpipers from Hobo?
Jleaonard, we will be in Tarpon Springs I suppose until Thursday morning. We’d love to meet up,if you have any time. I’ll send you a PM with our phone number.

No, we missed them. Still sleeping. .
Sorry we weren’t there to cast off your lines this morning. It was great meeting you both and getting the personal tour of Sea Star. She’s beautiful. You scored with her for sure.
