I just bought a 1987 GB 32 and am rather excited. I will be putting in new bilge system and wonder if anyone has a recommendation for make of bilge to get.
I was thinking of putting in 4 bilges.
1 forward 2000 gph
1 mid section 3000 gph
2 aft 2000 and 500 gph
what make of bilge is suggested.
Present bilge system needs replacement.

I always recommend Johnson HD Bilge Pumps.
One automatic and one manual per section.

Thanks and Merry Christmas

I’m a fan of Rule pumps but any of the name brand pumps are pretty good.
Auto switches are another matter. The arguments can go on for days. I like the heavy duty Rule float switch but Ultra Safety System switches seem to be well liked.

Whatever you do, mount your biggest pump a little higher than the others (or its switch actually) and wire it so it triggers a light on the dash when it is on. That is your emergency bilge pump. When it is triggered, you know something is wrong.

Thx

I have 3 bilge pumps with Ultra safety switches. I also have a separate high water alarm. (and The shower has a 500gph pump)

I installed separate through hulls for each bilge pump. Not a fan of Y fittings on bilge hoses.
