TF Gathering in SE Florida 2020...2/20-2/23

The friendliest place on the web for anyone who enjoys boating.
If you have answers, please help by responding to the unanswered posts.
Unfortunately, I'm going to have to bow out. Was looking forward but a few health issues have come up. Enjoy the get together.

Sorry you can’t make it. Next year.

My plan is to be there, but like past years, the Admiral seems to come up with a fresh ailment including timely appointments with specialists elsewhere, all of which have avoided the Ft. Pierce area. I may be solo. I might also bring my spiffy extra dinghy davit crane boom if someone is interested.

Larry, if you were to attach a windlass to that davit, it would be easier to raise the dingy instead of doing it by hand the way you are doing it in the pic!:D

Hey, ya know, maybe my back would get better too. Great tip!!:thumb:

Hope you and your davit make it!

We are anchored at the Jensen bridge, I’ll be there tomorrow even if I have to swim the boat there. :)

For those coming by boat...be careful as it appears there is a dredge pipe across the channel coming in.

It is sunk where the channel is, but it appears they are using red ball fenders on the pipe and they also have white ball fenders to mark the channel.

If anyone has come in today....a report for those tomorrow may help.

I was listening to the dock office try to explain it and it wasn't the same visual I had but I haven't been through it either.

Jack. Don’t worry I’ll protect your Budweiser. :)

Won’t make it. Admiral now scheduled for Electromag Pulse Therapy in Ft. Myers daily for next 10 days, leaving at 8 and back by 2....just not enough time to get over there and back in time. Last year dental infection, year before it was Red Tide allergic reaction. Geeze.

Larry family and health come first. We all wish you both the best.

Next year.

Standby for Al(flywright), and Jack/Steve (Sailor of Fortune)... We will be rolling into town on Thursday early evening..

All three of you plus Larry, I’m not sure I have enough booze.

RT. We certainly understand, it will be our loss but your granddaughter gain. Perhaps next year you will grace us with your presence.

Congrats again on the new addition to your family.

They’re predicting rain and heavy winds up here, but hopefully won’t be so bad down there in Ft Pierce

Wifey B: 11 and 12' seas, 30 mph winds, 40 mph gusts. I feel bad for you guys but if you're already there should be fine and by Tuesday seas should be ok again. :)

I am interested.

Mike, I had originally offered to plan a 2021 flotilla right after that year's Fort Pierce meeting as I knew I was going to be busy this year.

The original plan was for the Abacos as it was more suitable for first timers.

That may still work for next spring. But we need to wait a bit and see what recovery looks like.

Should be arriving early tomorrow afternoon. Looks like it's going to be sporty Friday through Sunday. Thought Don had an inside connection on the weather. :nonono:

Ok. I am late to everything. My wife and I are in Stuart and would like to participate. We would drive to Ft. Pierce. Is there a schedule and list of slip assignments?

Gordon

Will we need passes to get into the Marina gates?

We are planning to get there Thursday. Weather looks decent Thursday I think.

Let me know if the entrance to the marina is sketchy. If there is a pipe submerged I’m sure I’ll hit it or run aground or something stupid. ?

Just got to the boat tonight after a long 2 day drive from Texas. It’s a wreck inside from all the workers, plus I didn’t leave it very clean after my Bahamas rescue mission. We will spend tomorrow trying to put things back together, clean up, see what doesn’t work, etc.

Please tell me that isn't you in your new avatar?
