Upper helm only The Manatee has only an upper helm with a hard top. Ours also has lexan sliders so it is fully enclosed. I heat with a Mr. Buddy Heater in the Winter and am very comfortable. It all depends on the setup for your boat but I don't miss the lower helm.

Thanks everyone. I just heated the nut a bit and it came off with a few taps with a chisel. Not planning to use Locktite like the previous owner did. Here is the pic though. I forgot to hit upload originally.

I more question. Is it a standard thread? In other words does the nut come off counter clockwise?

Can someone tell me how to remove the nut from the inside of my steering wheel? There isn't enough space to use a socket or a wrench. It also looks like they used red Locktite on the threads. See pic. I am thinking I just need to heat up the nut with a heat gun, then hold the shaft to keep...

Looks good! Glad you are happy with it. I do wish it was more powerful but it is certainly better than nothing. With our hull design I don't really see a good way to put a larger thruster with a tunnel. I am happy with ours as it cuts the post docking fights with my wife down by about 50%.
