Here's an idea. To keep Flywright from getting the long distance award, San Diego is farther than Sacramento (the decision of the judges is final here). Maybe we could all pool our frequent flyer miles so that Walt (Codger2) could afford to fly out. He would then take the prize from Flywright.

Simple solution:

Previous long distance award winners are ineligible for the following 3 years that they attend.

Besides, long distance award should only apply to those coming by boat.

Now as a non-participant, independent outside observer, it does seem somewhat odd to reward the one who flew the greatest distance since it's a boating forum and group, not a plane forum.

LOL! Too bad we didn't have a party at the Taj Mahal. This place was the bomb...if you're a 1970's porn star of whom Jack apparently is familiar.

For the curious of heart and strong of stomach, I offer you this link. What you see in these photos are probably from years ago before these hoarders filled every nook and cranny with crap.

No two items in any room matched any other. There was no decor theme beyond "Garage Sale Leftovers". Hopefully, Jack has some pics of the actual decor theme. It's a sight to see!

Next year, I'll let you pick the AirBnb.

PS. I gotta admit, I kinda liked the carport evenings at Taj Mahal. We solved a lot of the world's problems while attempting, in our own feeble way, to put a dent into the TF beer inverntory.
