When we go to bed at night we leave the salon AC on but set it at 74. When we got up this morning it was off with no power to the pad. The breaker for that unit had tripped. I reset the breaker and it stayed on. Still no power to the pad. I switched out the pad for a spare, still nothing.

Is there a breaker down on the compressor somewhere I can check? Any other thoughts?

We are arriving in Charleston today for two nights so will also see if I can get someone to look at it.

Some units have an overheat breaker on the unit, perhaps you had a clogged water intake that caused an overheat condition. On mine it is a red button that pops out when it overheats. Not sure that would kill power to the pad, but worth a look.

Managed to get an AC technician in Charleston to come look at it tomorrow morning.

Here's hoping it isn't the compressor.
