Hello everyone. My name is Ed and I am brand new to the trawler life. My wife and I recently purchased a 1977 Marine trader.

Welcome Edpritt
I owned a Marine Trader 40, 1978 as my first trawler. She taught me much and made me a better boater and more capable to work on boats!
Welcome to TF and feel free to add what you know, dont know and might not know you know,
Tim

That is a great boat! How are the fuel tanks? What does she have for power.
Since this is your first post you are forgiven for not mentioning the size and other particulars of your boat.
Welcome Aboard anyway.

Yes, welcome to TF. We all know almost exactly the sort of fun you are in for, so just remember...it's all meant to be fun. Ok, sometimes it isn't. But mostly it is. Good with your hands one assumes..?
