Thanks for posting this, Mnzies. I found it to be very interesting. I was on active duty in the US Army during the Berlin Crisis of 1961. The Russians had demanded the withdrawal of all Allied forces from Berlin. They partitioned off the city, and that led to the Berlin Wall. Every unit in the Army was on high alert, and we figured that we would be shipping out. Every unit was also scrambling to fill out their T O & E equipment. It was a very scary time.
