Hi all,
On my main boat I installed Simrad NSS16 evo3 16" MFDs on flybridge and at the helm and just purchased a new dinghy. Wondering whether there are advantages to installing a 7" Simrad on the dinghy rather than Garmin beyond familiarity with the user interface. Can the main boat communicate with the dinghy by way of bluetooth connectivity or a smart phone app? Dinghy comes with Garmin (and already paid for) however dealer can look into swapping out with a Simrad but dont want to be too troublesome.
Your input would be greatly appreciated.

I would go with the Simrad, but thats me....Bluetooth is only 30ft.

You would have to set up a wifi connection so the two can connect to the same network.

Which now opens the question, how far do you need/want the two to communicate and what data do you want to share?
