I will be taking my Kadey Krogen 39 to the Sea of Cortez. I want to have the bottom blisters repaired while down there or along the way. I can stop in Southern California or continue to my Mexico destination to have the work done. From what I read California influence has increased the cost of repairs made in Mexico to the point there is not much cost saving to be had in either location. While I definitely would not want California to be considered preferable destination it may be a better option due to the language barrier.
I want the work done in the Southern Hemisphere and preferably this year. I want the hull to dry out before the work is done which is not really something that can be done properly in Anacortes where the boat currently resides. I am not saying it could not be done properly but that is another topic.,
