Raw water pump

Can anyone identify this pump with an actual number.
I changed out the impeller the other day with parts I found on the boat. The gasket kit, two different footprint gaskets and two Orings, neither of which fit the application that we’re supplied with the impeller kit makes me wonder about the impeller itself. Jabsco has their name forged into the pump assembly 5 times and the address of their plant but not a single part number.
The impeller cover is six bolts of equal spacing.
The unit is mounted on a Perkins 4.236 that was installed in 1977. DONT know it’s true age. If you can help me I would appreciate it.

Why did you pull it off the engine? The main drive gear looks rusty, it should be greasy.

That is the spare, the identical twin of the one still mounted to the engine��

Take a look at the Depco catalog. I think it might be a Jabsco 109370. Note it says 4236 / M80 Engine.

On our Jabsco pumps the cover plate has stamped ID numbers. They are obscured when covered by paint but clear when fresh out of box. American Diesel told me this number matches the gear to a common pump body

My cover plate says Jabsco, Costa Mesa Ca, and loosen screws to drain.
I found what looks like my pump. The new plate pictured below has part number and rotation stamped on it.
Hopefully I can make the right choice with this info.

Might go at it backwards. Match the impeller then see what Jabsco pumps use that impeller in that application.

Usually the replacement packs have the impeller and a couple different gaskets for different pumps. Find a local marine store with impeller kits. Since you have a spare take it along and check.

Like HopCar said, Depco (Depco Pump Company) is your friend. Doubt there's anything they don't know about Jabsco pumps.

One size of impeller can match up several different gears. Need to get both right if buying a complete new pump.
