Boat sunk in Glacier Bay

Probably to their benefit? Can you imagine the cost or salvage at 300 feet in those conditions. Three hundred is not deep compared to what they can do, but who's paying and when does the cost exceed the insurance? Would the insurance company now own the boat since it is a total loss, or would this salvage fall on the insured owners?

Indeed the policy language will show if there is salvage/wreck removal coverage and what limits are offered. Once policy limits are eclipsed in this arena, the vessel owner is responsible for any costs beyond the policy limits.

Technology has evolved, and a vessel at 300 feet is certainly recoverable- but if it's recovered is another question.
