Anyone bought from Star-Marine.com in Australia?

Good morning and Happy Thanksgiving TFers.

I'm in the market for a FLIR camera. I notice that the camera that I'm looking at is available from Star-Marine.com in Australia at a price at about 50% of its price in the US.

Has anyone in the US bought anything from Star-Marine.com? Is it reputable? Any problems with shipping and/or duties?

I am in Australia, and I haven’t heard of them before (stars-marine).

Just for what it’s worth, I have also never heard of a boating product being cheaper in Australia than the US. It’s usually the other way around, its why heaps of us over here buy online from Seabord, Marinebeam, Westmarine etc.

Finally, I don’t know what power a FLIR camera uses, but if it’s AC then that may be a problem for use in USA. You guys are 110v / 60 hz, whereas as we are 240v / 50 hz.

Even at half price a FLIR camera is expensive, so I would be a little cautious....

I am also in Australia and I concur with everything said by Hamish.
The only star-marine.com is in europe.
There is a starmarine.com in South Carolina.
