Hello. A while back (2-3 months ago?) there was a thread regarding a venerable old marine hardware store in Chesapeake Bay area(?) that was a must see for anyone passing through. I have not been able to find that thread. I recall you commenting on that thread, as you had some knowledge of the place. Could you give me the name of it? I am currently in Baltimore, on our way down to Annapolis soon for boat shows. I would like to check this place out while I am in the area, if possibe.
Did you see my post 'Paddy's Flyin' ?
When we were down under in Australia cruising the Whitsunday Islands we saw some excellent R.I.B tube covers which we thought, and were assured, were mighty effective against degradation by sun, salt water.
Were passing thro Miami this week are you any where near ?
Are they of any use to you
Back in 2011 you said you was going to try Pacifica Plus. Did you try it? How did it work? My boat a DeFever 49 CPMY has a lot of under water metal. I have large stainless struts and rudders. Last year I painted with Pettit zinc aerosol. It stayed on better than anything I've ever used. It worked ok as an Antifouling but not great. I am thinking of using the zinc primer again and then put on a few coats of Pacifica. I think a copper free bottom paint will work better over the zinc.
Ref: this thread that you responded to
If you want to stock these little locks, I have taken pictures of the blister-pack card they are sold on - shows the distrbutor's name, address etc. Drop me an email to firstname.lastname@example.org and I will send the pics too you. Considering the number of old Bertrams around with sliding windows, these might do well.
You might not remember, but around 2004 - 2005 I was looking for on-off-on Conturer rocker-switches with a built in light for each "on" position. You sourced them when no other supplier could do so.
Hope the demise of Bertram doesn't hit you too hard.
Hi there, would you be able to give me a price for a Raritan Heads conversion unit inclusive of courier/post to New Zealand I can't seem to locate a supplier here. Can you also tell me if I can find dimensional drawing/installation instructions etc online
Thanks again for your input to my query. Cheers Phil
