I need to recaulk the flybridge cowling. Someone went nuts with the Sikaflex and I need to tidy it up. Any good ideas on how to remove this without damaging the Gelcoat?
Well it's not easy. I have been doing some of this as well. One thing I found useful was the set of nonmarring scapers I picked up at Harborfreight tools.
Good ideas...so a little heat...not as much as removing old cetol from teak. Hmm. I'll try a small spot later. Also good idea on the scrapper. I've found, much to my disappointment that Gelcoat is easily scratched and gouged.
