So I just took delivery of a 2009 MS 34 FB Trawler with a single Yanmar.
The surveyor identified a few cracks in the outer casing of the raw water hose and recommended replacement.
However, after look at the "corrigated" 1-3/4" raw water hose label and searching the forum, online retailers, and local hose shops, I'm not sure I know what to buy:banghead:.

I assume others have already tackled this replacement so I'm looking for help on what hose to buy, and since it's a $100-200 hose, I want to get it right.

Anyone know what to use here that can accomodate the bend radius' of the OEM hose?

I have used this with good results. Got it from Defender and they sell it by the foot.

Trident 250/100 Flex Marine Wet Exhaust and Water Hose

The hoses are specific to the installation, not the motor, so they are generic. Another MS owner may respond with better info based upon experience with the boat.

The hose with a blue stripe is a wet exhaust hose. Any large west marine should have them in stock or online stores like Defender and Fisheries Supply stock them.

The elbow is a little harder to find. I'd just take measurements and internet search for one that is, or can be cut down to, the right size and shape.

Just be careful to use a hose rated for salt water. Automotive radiator and other cooling hoses often have metal supports that will rust out in two seconds, for example.

Also, if you go with a silicone hose, note that many/most require special hose clamps and, when they do, regular clamps should not be used as they'll damage the hose.
