Ahoy,
I'm Eduardo Wiewall, recently traveling on land and living full time with my wife and twin 12 yr old boys on our 37' Travel Trailer since Dec. 2020. We've been able to work and study 'online' and thus the opportunity to travel southwest from Weston, FL (our home base) to currently, Salt Lake City.
As we continue on our journey, I've had the desire to make our next family adventure at sea, and travel north from FL to ?? (maybe Boston) over the summer of 2022.
Initially I was looking at 30' outboard boats (Robalo 302 or Sea Ray, etc.) but I've come to the conclusion that ICW cruising is not about speed but comfort, enjoyment of the surroundings and taking it slow (also, my wife saw the 30' accommodations of aforementioned vessel types and with one quick look..., you know the rest)
Thus, I am here to re-acquaint myself with the Trawler, which takes me down memory lane to summers back in the 80's when my parents would rent Trawlers in the USVI making memories I cherish to this day. As kids, we loved jumping from the fly bridge when no one was looking..! and take the dinghy for spins around the area exploring the mangroves and the shoreline with great sense of freedom and adventure.
I can't wait to transition from the great community of RV'ers on the turf to join another great community, the boating community, on the surf.
Cheers..!
Eduardo
