Belt shrouds are easy to make. I use galvanized sheet metal. I've seen them made out of plywood, too. Any decent AC/Heating company usually does sheet metal work. I saw a plywood shroud on another boat that mounted in front of the engine and fastened on the bottom to the engine rails. Just one brace for support. It was shaped to block the front of the belts and turning parts. The insurance people had no issue.
I have one. I bought it around the turn of the century. It has a hole for the coolant line. Unfortunately it was from North Jersey Marine and they are no longer in business.
