Low setting one teaspoon 60 seconds, high setting 30 seconds, the valve was so far out of calibration now i can see why some sailors never can get their dickinson heaters to run properly

How much pressure (how high the head?) the unit is working with?

Dickinson used to recalibrate the valves if needed.

You might see if the early style Singer units are still manufactured.

If you still have trouble , PM me after Nov 1 , when we return to FL and I will look in my stores locker.

I dont think ill have any trouble, the double turn actually came in today ill be installing that in the next few days, the heater i bought didnt have the stainless tubing in the firebox but the heater is all apart so will easy to install

I need to calibrate ours. It goes from start to raging on the lowest setting.

Quick follow up to say thank you. I calibrated our (brand new) carburetor from a ridiculous 2.5 tablespoons per minute to the correct 1 teaspoon per minute and I’m no longer scared to light the stove. This explains a lot of our fireplace [over] performance issues over the last year.
