As seen in the boatyard (Ensenada). This Formula go-fast boat was being trucked when the trailer broke and the boat fell over. I'm guessing it was totaled by the insurance company and will be rescued by inexpensive Mexican labor.

Remains to be seen if the bulkheads are tabbed-into the new hull properly. The bulkhead towards the back (picture #2) is crushed and would need to be replaced. Look closely at the aft port - the inner hull liner has shifted a good 2-inches compared to hull.

Unless they go down to bare hull that boat will never be "right" again. It may look right, but underneath it won't be.

Hope Mr. Spooner gets to fix the thread title.

Almost anything fiberglass can be made right. Whether it can be done for less than the value of the boat is the question. Composite aircraft are routinely returned to service after being broken in half. Maybe not in Ensenada though.

There is some fiberglass talent in Ensenada. Home to the starting line of the Baja 1000 off-road race for over 50 years, Ensenada workers have been building, rebuilding, and repairing busted up fiberglass for three generations.
