Bench tested Ford Lehman

Hello, we are going to be looking at a Trawler with a recently swapped out Ford Lehman 120hp that has been sitting for quite awhile. The engine has been bench tested by a very reputable Marine Mechanic who believes it is still good. There will be no warranty. Thoughts? We are reluctant. thanks

Welcome aboard. How long is "quite a while" and has the engine been rebuilt? If so, receipts for work done AND get a good engine survey.

I assume you're going to have a survey with engine oil analysis and sea trial. I would plan on a looong sea trial, push it hard, and make your decision based on that. Yes, no, or a price reduction toward another engine.
