Have two vacuflush units. 90% of time the one in the master stateroom is the one used.question is what’s best for the mostly unused one?

In favor of just turning it off is it’s off and not needing to be kept at a vacuum.

In favor in leaving it on is you are maintaining a vacuum so would know if it needs new duckbills of other service. Also under vacuum the duckbills are held tightly closed so less likely to foul at their lips.

Can see best practice as going either way. Hope Peggy speaks up with an opinion as I trust her on this stuff. But also would like to be educated by more experienced vacuflush owners. Thanks

I would leave it on and flush one or twice a week to keep the internals wet and thereby lubricated.
