Ben getting ready to service my reverse cycle systems, ( 3ea 16K) and was thinking about making it easier. Has anyone hooked up a hose to the through hole exit water line outside rather than the unhooking the hose at the units?

I would think if you were using descaling chemicals you may not want them in your water pumps. Also the street water pressure may be too high for the system.

I would use a porta junior with barnacle buster, would just run the hose from bucket/pump outside to the through hull, not inside to the exhaust line.

I just did mine with some 5/8” clear tubing and a rule 500 bilge pump and a 5 gal bucket

I pulled the hoses off of the condenser.
The first 30 seconds of circulation was very impressive. The following 5 minutes much less so.
Are your 3 units plumbed in series??

My 3 units are fed by one large line-parallel fed by a large March pump.
