The wiring of the gauges and tachs on my two Lehmans were daisy-chained from the lower to the upper helms. I think you can just hook up the feeds as they were. In fact, your oil pressure and temp guages must be daisy-chained as the senders will undoubtedly be dual station senders.

Get a stabilzed DeFever of any length and roll will be much, much less. An unstabilized DeFever will behave like that Nordic. Some boats roll more than others.

TJM, you are mistaken about fuel flow through different micron sizes. ALL Racor filters in a series have the SAME flow rating, but, yes, a 2-micron filter will stop flowing fuel more quickly. OP, a vacuum gauge mounted on your Racor housing will tell you when the filter needs to be changed.

Ditch the mechanical fuel pump and install an electric pump. A Walbro (FRB-13) is rated for 18,000 hours of continual use. Plus, no more maddening lever pump for priming.
