Repair Torrid 20 gal hot water tank?

wayne in huntington beach Personally, I wouldn't even consider repairing your water heater. I have replaced the high limit and temp control sensors on mine but that is the most I would ever do.

wife bought me a new boat

wayne in huntington beach Is that a Mainship? I'd like to hear and see pictures with more details + how much you paid, etc. I have always thought I'd like to live aboard. I live in Huntington Beach.

    Holding tank math

There is an easy to install system I bought on line for a Glastron 247 cruiser I used to have. It had 3 sensors to show 1/3 , 2/3 and full. Can’t remember the name of the unit but it works great.

Who uses a fog horn in the fog?

Wayne in Huntington Beach I used my hand held fog horn. My biggest concern was the freighters in the Catalina channel.

Stuff People Don't Tell You About Moving Aboard!

SeaPiper 35 Delivery Update and Reviews

I think the changes I recommended are absolutely necessary. I would not want to go out in the weather to another cabin to use the head or go to bed.

SeaPiper 35 Delivery Update and Reviews

Seapiper 35 I like many things about the boat however the pilot house should moved forward and attached to the stateroom/head. This would also allow for a nice roomy open cockpit in the rear. It would also give better balance to prevent being a tail dragger.

SeaPiper 35 Delivery Update and Reviews

I like many things about this boat but having the cabin separated from the rest of the boat is something I wouldn’t want. Move the rest of the boat forward and connected to the cabin which would leave a nice typical open rear cockpit. Junk the hoist and use the savings for something useful.

    Rude boaters?

Morons are morons---where ever they are. I had an idiot pass between me on water skis and my tow boat when I was down in the water. Fortunately they didn't catch the rope in their prop. They actually had the guts to come back and threaten me because I had yelled at them. I was hoping they would...

    Rude boaters?

Reminds me of the time I poured some diesel down the intake to start an engine that had been run until out of diesel. Didn't realize that it would run as fast as possible until the fuel was gone or the intake was closed off. With the wire cut (apparently to the solenoid) it's possible the fuel...
