But earlier today went for a 2.5 hour voyage. Winds were fairly strong from the south but there wasn't much fetch to create significant waves in Carquinez Strait which runs east-west.
Virtually no pleasure traffic. There were the usual Vallejo-San Francisco ferries, a small trawler catching fish bait, and several barges being pushed by tugs such as this one:
Here I am walking toward the exit of K dock. To the left is the Predator, presumably a boat for hire. Saw it last week with at least eight fishermen. They brought off a number of coolers. They all were happy which suggests their coolers were filled with fish.
Life is good.
