And he didn't even go up the north fork. It's the Chicago River, by the way.

Chicago "River"

Fireworks are available each Wed and Sat from Memorial Day thru Labor Day on Navy pier ( which is just to right as boat goes into lock) Admiral and I just returned from there last Tuesday and were able to take a boat tour to see the fireworks from the water. Very cool. When in C town be sure to take advantage of this event. We also took the Architecture Boat Tour. Very good and highly recommend it. My problem was that at times I was more interested in the boat and maneuvering than the buildings. Admiral kept me in line.
