Local info for Tombigbee needed

The mile 14 RR bridge will have the river shut down from the 27th through the 2nd. Would this make it a good time to make the trip south from Demopolis to Mobile, planning for to get to the bridge right about the 2nd? How much traffic goes out into Mobile Bay and how much goes to industry on the river? It would be nice having the river all to ourselves but I bet thats wishfull thinking.
