As we crossed Puget Sound, I got this photo. There is a white box just above the rail with a red dot on it. I am not used to seeing sensors anywhere on a ship but on the bridge. Any ideas? Pirate detector?
I don't have a copy of the Nav Rules here, but my guess is that a ship of this size must have either her only set of Red/Green lights or a second set, forward of amidship. Rick?Larry H wrote:
My guess would be nav lights. This ship is 1145 ft long by 150 ft wide. The running lights are aft up on the bridge and might not be visible from the water with in a mile or so. Here is another photo. The starboard white box is visible.
