Hello fellow boaters...
I'm looking for a fitting cap as pictured (2" bronze, or similar). I'm on a MT 34' DC. Anyone have a clue?

I suspect you will have to buy the complete assembly.

Or if there is a used chandlery they may just have something.

Just curious, why you are looking for a new one? These things can be cleaned up so they appear better. THe threads need to be greased lightly so they install and remove easily and can be snugged up so they don't wiggle loose. Typically they also need an O ring to actually seal out wash and rain water.

So what is the problem?

Yeah, some copper/brass polish, take it to the hardware store for a new O ring and you can lube the threads with mineral oil or Crisco for no contamination.

Have two water tanks and fill fittings, only one cap (the one pictured). The other cap is a PVC plumbing fitting. Barely workable. There is actually one available online but it is 1.5" size. And there is a blank 2" cap available, but only one of them.
Anyway, was just checking. You never know. I'm going to keep looking for a set. Thanks for the replies.
