This is a fantastic thread. Thank you for all the writing and the attached pictures and charts, Weebles. Nice comments and additions from everyone else too.

I would like to add another weather routing and prediction service far cheaper than others: www.fastseas.com
built and maintained by a Bristol channel cutter sailor and his wife. $60 annual.

It uses Windy as its weather source. I have been comparing Windy (I have the premium level subscription) to my mid-level Predict Wind subscription for the past two months while working on a boat in Grenada. I find the Windy forecast and maps more accurate than Predict Wind!
I have always liked Predict Wind for the fact that I could get the table of forecast from all the different models, and see when more than three or four models lined up to add a confidence factor to any given weather idea.

Neither Windy nor Fast Seas have that type of report, but the predictions have been superior up to 30 or 40 hours ahead. Fast Seas will accept your sailing comfort and performance criteria as text or as a polar and generate a course to steer. It can also generate best day to leave.

And finally, the thing I find Best is the fact that I request unlimited weather and routing from FastSeas via my Garmin InReach. Fast Seas sends me the directions back immediately for wherever I am. I get as much weather and routing as I want because I have an unlimited InReach subscription, $49 per month. We also use the InReach for texting and email and skip Starlink expense. FWIW

Thanks again for a great voyage with you, MV Weebles!
