Many may have seen our latest boat project. It’s a short list really

New house batteries
Relocate engine start batteries
Clean out and reconfigure all battery compartments
Remove old inverter
Install new inverter
Replace both engine alternators
Remove and or reorganize tons of old wiring

I can’t thank our friends enough for assistance removing 180+ lb batteries and lifting 157 lb batteries on board and into position. Jonathan Eels and Bob Millington deserve special thanks.

But most of all I have to thank Elizabeth Howell who supported the effort talked through and helped optimize the design and today spent most of the day in a very tight grimy area helping to remove the old inverter and misc other hardware. I would have been good for about 20 minutes before cramps, exhaustion etc would have done me in. She was in there for the better part of 4 hours.

Work continues, but this was raw and away the worst part of the job. Good work babe! Just a couple in process photos of the cleaned battery bay and new install.

Looking great! Moving batteries is the worst...

Long shot, but do you have battery switches like these and if so did you do any new terminals? I am interested in the stud size if you would happen to know...
