UPDATE COVID TESTING PNW, San Juan Island

As of February 28, 2022 the CBSA is accepting "Rapid Antigen" test or a "Molecular" (PCR) test. The tests must be done in a lab, or Healthcare provider, or Telehealth services. This includes pharmacies who participate. (Verified by CBSA)

Time lines:
Rapid Antigen 24hrs
PCR 72hrs.

I wonder if they accept the proctored Abbot test available through the Navica app and certified by eMed. Bahamas is now accepting the proctored version. 6 tests for $150. The nice thing is you can do the test and receive the results anywhere you have decent cell/Wi-Fi service.

I expect that would qualify as a "Teleheath" service, but probably worth confirming if that's what you want to use.

I would verify, but we've used such tests for the Bahamas and throughout Europe.

If anyone finds out the answer to that, please report back!

In the Waggoners newsletter/spam today, they believe the Abbot/eMed test will be accepted by CBSA.

You Could always call CBSA and confirm it yourself.

If I read it correctly the exemption for immediate family members to visit without being vaccinated has been dropped.
Earlier in this mess my wife visited Van Is to see our daughter and family, unvaccinated. Just required here to test and quarantine.
We remain unvaccinated and have no plans to change that status. My daughter and family came down here to WA for Thanksgiving however so they can still come here, but they had been vaccinated already.
