Howdy chaps. Installing a pair of GT51TH and a B265 transducer on our boat. Wondering if there's anything to consider in terms of placement and potential interference etc? Is there a suggested separation etc? Anyone installed the same setup? Cheers ? ?

While I do not have experience with the equipment mentioned I would suggest reaching out to your local marine electronics company who performs installations and talk with first. A few areas you will want to consider include the angle of the transducer installation (the flattest part of the hull may be the most desired depending on what you are trying to look at), location of hull reinforcements (not want to cut through those structural members) and location to other electronic equipment. The cable should be shielded to prevent interference from other systems but something to confirm. Measure twice and cut once! Good luck

The transducers mentioned operate on different frequencies so shouldn't be any interference.

You get one shot at cutting the fairing block to match the deadrise angle. I measured six times, cut once, and it was not perfect but good enough. Creating a jig so I could Mount the block in a bandsaw at the right angle was a challenge.

I mounted mine as far forward as possible. If I am in skinny water I want forewarning. I have a flat stern with no deadrise so it would have been simpler to mount there but I was not interested in the depth behind me. :)
