The day has finally arrived!!!

We are packing up the Jeep to drive from our home in La Paz BCS Mexico to Ensenada tomorrow. This is a two day drive up the rugged Baja Pensulia.

We will launch the boat in Ensenada on Tuesday, and take the boat and the Jeep to the United States on Thursday.

Our plan is to spend a week at our new Yacht Club, Silvergate in San Diego, and then head to the marina in Long Beach where we will start exploring the Los Angeles area starting with Disneyland.

We will return to La Paz on the 31st of March for a couple of weeks to check on the bakery, and visit with family and friends before returning to Los Angeles, and continued exploration.

Our plan is to spend a few weeks at home, and then a few weeks in the United States, with each trip to the USA exploring a different area, always heading North.

The only schedule we have is to spend some time in the San Francisco Bay area with our friends Aaron Stagg, and Heidi Benson Stagg this summer. Other than that we need to be off the Rugged Pacific Coast and in protected waters before next winters storms start. We have a slip reserved in Victoria BC in front of the Empress hotel for the winter, and plan to continuing our exploration to Alaska in the summer of 26.

Of course we will post our adventures, and hope to meet up with our cruising friends along the way.

For some one who is retired, you sure are busy!
Our thoughts are go while our bodies will let us, because the aches and pains of our older years are coming faster than we want them to.

We are a busy couple... In the three years I've been retired I've been cruising or traveling about a year and a half, and Vicky a bit over 10 months, and we have visited 14 countries on three continents.

Thanks!!!

it's too funny... Yep, we should just give up, and leave the real cruising to exploration boat owners... My Bayliner is way outta it's league!

Just remember to drive on the right side of the road after entering the USA and not down the middle like you became used to.

Consider Catalina.

Hey, I'm still at my place in Mulege, FYI.

But reads like you are in running to the barn, er, marina mode. That's OK, safe travels!

I thought I read that Bayliners had an auto sink once they were 10 miles offshore.
(April 1st must be close)

And to actually stop at STOP signs. They say you can tell the gringo drivers in MX because they actually stop at the signs! Kevin has assimilated so I doubt he's come to a full stop in a while 😂

Hi Kevin. Welcome back to San Diego. I am in Vegas now and not back on the water until 4/1 so may miss you. But drop a PM when you make it to Silvergate. Our Greenline 33 is at SWYC. Our Hatteras 48LRC is in Discovery Bay so hope you can get up there during your SF leg. Very different boating than what most are used to.

Did you get a confirmed slip in Long Beach? I recently asked about a 50 ft and didn't get a solid yes but I also don't have an immediate need either.

Here's an update

We are happily docked at Alamitos Bay Marina in Long Beach, California.

We spent several nights at our new Yacht club, Silvergate in San Diego, and will be in Long Beach through mid April.

Today we went to universal Studios, and we have reservations to go to Disneyland on saturday.
