I’m bare boating a Greenline 37 Neo out of Fort Lauderdale tomorrow with plans to head down to Biscayne Bay for the day. I’ve never boated in the area but I remember seeing Gus and friends from InTooDeep visiting a little sandy key not far out of Miami harbor that looked like a good place to stop and swim for an hour or two. I’ve scanned through a couple of likely videos but haven’t been able to find it. Anybody know what I’m thinking of? Any other suggestions for a play stop in that area?

At Haulover inlet, the west side of Beercan island has a nice beach, if you want to party
the sand bar should be a happening for the weekend. Enjoy

What part of Biscayne Bay?

Anywhere behind Elliot key is usually very clear and nice...lots of room to avoid the crowds.

Last time I was at Boca Chita on a weekend a few years back, it was intolerable for the crowd and loud partying.... and I could tell I was not wanted anywhere near there. Maybe not from everyone, but a few looks were enough.

Just North of Boca Chita are the Ragged Keys and one or two are developed if I remember but a few may still be tiny sandy islands.

I think that’s the one, though Elliot Key sounds more my style if we have the time to get down that far. The boat will do 30+ knots and the ocean forecast looks like a mill pond so we’ll see. Thanks all!
