I put mine on standby and also found my internet uses still work fine. I must have not been using much data. I might just end up staying at the 5 dollar plan.
50GB is good for email, weather, lots of web browsing. Not too much TV, though you can still do a few hours a month. But the data overage is only charged at $1/GB, so you have to go way over to pay as much as the unlimited plan.
For those new to the thread, the $10/10GB is gone as of a month or two ago. Now $5 for unlimited (but slow ~500K access). And Pause is gone, have to pay the $5 or cancel entirely and start a new account if you want one.
